Dear Colleagues,
The recent completion of the human genome project has launched medical genetics into the forefront of modern healthcare. With the nearly complete code in hand, researchers around the world are racing to uncover new ways to apply this information to the earlier detection of disease, disease prevention and engineering disease management. Current advancements include the discovery of 510 inheritable disease per week, fluorescent in situ diagnosis of single cells of embryonic and cancer cells, improved prenatal screening of chromosomes for higher risk pregnancies, expanded carrier detection for sever childhood diseases, a growing list of precise DNA diagnoses for cancer risk, progression and therapy selection. The bar is being raised for faster more precise diagnosis of illness at the molecular/genetic level to be performed on fewer cells. Dynagene is prepared to meet the challenge. We have recently joined the combined talents of Cytogenetics Laboratory in Seattle and Laboratories for Genetic Services (LGS) in Houston to form Dynagene. At the helm is a new CEO to guide the combined laboratories towards the integration of new technologies, joint ventures and scientific collaborations, and expand genetic testing and molecular services. Together with a team of scientists, genetic counselors, cytogeneticists, and laboratory technicians, we hope to provide you and your patients the best quality and most extensive genetic services in North America. Your interest and input is always welcome. We want you to join us in our endeavor of Pioneering the Future of Diagnostic Genetics.
